Dolphin Watching
Dolphin Trips: A Relaxing Morning Adventure.
Service Description
Dolphin watching is a great way to start the morning! The shrimpers begin their day well before the sun comes up. When they stir the waters on the north side of the bay and begin to cull their catch, the dolphins feed. Naturally they are attracted to any vessels moving through the area, as they are accustomed to being fed. This is also a great time of day to see other sea life. Double-Crested Cormorants, with their bright blue eyes are amazing birds, capable of diving to depths of 30 feet and staying down for over a minute. Sightings Brown and White Pelicans alike are almost a guarantee. Skimmers and beautiful Pink and Red Spoonbills are frequently spotted on our trips. These cruises take us very near the Lexington, Aquarium, and seawall. It is fairly common for us to get close to some rather large vessels moving in and out of the inner harbor. Capt. Miles has a broad knowledge of the area’s history, wildlife, seagoing vessels, buildings and anything else that might peak your interest, and he very much enjoys sharing it with his guests. Come set sail with us, and enjoy the scenery.
